This boy loves his dad. . .

Can you see the resemblance?? They have the same haircut that's for sure!

2 Months

This little man is 2 months old! I can't believe how fast it goes and how big he is getting.
Here are the 2 month stats:

12lbs 9.5 oz

23 inches long

He seems to be eating pretty well!

Here are some new things that he has started to do this last month:
-Smiling. . .I love this!!!

-Cooing, I think he might grow up to be a chatterbox- he has a lot to say

-Head control is improving

-Still lots of diapers-today while I was changing his diaper he managed to pee in his eye, he's pretty talented!

-Getting a little better at tummy time

-Occasionally sleeping until 4am. . also one of my favorites

We love this Max Man so much and he just keeps getting more and more fun!!

Trip to Idaho

This past week we went to Idaho for a little visit. Jeff came for the weekend but had to leave on Sunday. Lucky for us Jessica and Luke came up to keep us company for the rest of the week. We had so much fun with our little boys. I love that these two cousins are so close in age and will be best friends! My cousin Kelcie also has the cutest little girl that is just a few months older than these boys. The funny thing is that they are all about the same size. Aren't they just so adorable!

Max got to see all of his grandparents. How nice to have them all live in the same place so we can see them!! Unfortunately the Beesley grandparents must have dodged the camera (we'll be sure to get you next time! )

We also got to see the rest of the Beesley Family for lunch on Saturday at Maddox. It is a yearly tradition for everyone to go for my parents anniversary, but this year was the first time I got to go. It was so fun to see everyone and the food was amazing! We missed Jeff and Eric but were happy to see everyone else! Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of Saturday.. . maybe next year.

Month 1

Wow!! How life has changed for us, all for the better(mostly). I'm feeling pretty sleep deprived, no one warned me about how crazy it feels to not get more that 3 hours straight of sleep. The first three weeks we were so lucky to have so much help. Grandma Carol came for the first week, then Grandma Bryson. It was so nice!! Then the third week Jeff headed to Guatemala for a dental mission trip and me and Max headed to Idaho. We missed Jeff like crazy but the extra week of help was amazing! The first month was full of lots of eating for Max and not very much sleep for me. Good thing we love him so much! He grew a lot and at his 1 month appointment he weighed 10lbs 1 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. 50th percentile for both.

Welcoming Baby Max

After 9 months of waiting and being super excited the day finally came that I was induced for labor. Now that its been almost 2 months since he was born, I think I've forgotten enough that I can be slightly more positive about the birthing process. It started with going in March 7th to stay at the hospital and get the whole process started. The next morning at about 9am they broke my water, and by 7pm I was finally ready to push. Unfortunately during the labor Max had decided to flip around and so he was face up. After 2 hours of pushing, I got a fever and Max was really not making any process. . .he seemed to be stuck. So we went in for the C-section at about 9pm and then we finally got to meet our baby boy! He weighed 7lbs 9oz and was 20 inches long. He was perfect. We loved him right from the start and are so glad to have him in our family! It really was amazing!
