9 Months

Wow, this is a crazy month!! Max is growing so fast. He has perfected the 'army crawl' by now and is super fast and really into everything. It's so fun, except when I'm trying to pack, then it's really not so fun. We had his 9 month check up, he's doing great and growing like a weed. So during all this craziness I have misplaced his stats, mother of the year I know, I'm sure it will turn up. But I do remember his weight is 20lbs 15oz, how could I forget after lugging him around all day:) We sure love him and can't believe it's already been 9 months!

8 Months

8 months, wow I can't even believe it. I swear the months just keep going by faster and faster. I would say this month has been the month of MORE. He's doing pretty much the same things as last month, just more of it!

MORE:
-Moving, not quite crawling yet but he is getting pretty fast and is very good at going in circles
-Getting stuck, usually under chairs or the desk
-Babbling more and more, he has so much to say

-He's getting more and more opinionated about what he wants and doesn't hesitate to let me know!

-Eating more foods

-Getting more hair

-Showing even more of his cute little personality

-Sleeping more at night (wahoo!!!)

-Laughing more and unfortunately whining more

-Getting even MORE CUTE and MORE FUN!

We can't help but love this guy even more!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, but can I just say it's SO much more fun with Max! We love dressing up, so of course we would love dressing up our baby. Max was a shark, Jeff was a scuba diver, and I was a beach girl. Happy Halloween!

October

October was a crazy, busy, fun month! We started out with a birthday. Jeff has now officially entered his 30s. His birthday was pretty low key this year. We celebrated with all his special requests. . .bread bowls, ice cream cake, and a remote control airplane. He's pretty easy to please.

Max also had his first ride on the skateboard. Jeff was so proud. He was slightly more excited than Max, can you tell?! I have a feeling that won't be the last time he's on that board.

We went to a pumpkin patch with some of our friends. It was so fun and pretty cute. They had tons of pumpkins in all different shapes and sizes I had never seen before. Max wasn't too interested, but it did give a great photo op. Isn't he such a cutie!

This fall has been amazing! We really couldn't ask for better weather! We are loving Denver's long fall and such beautiful weather. Max loves to be outside, so we go on walks most everyday. It makes everyone so much happier to be able to go outside.

7 Months

This month has been a fun one! Max cut his 2 bottom teeth. As a hygienist and dentist me and Jeff couldn't be more excited! Let the oral hygiene instruction begin! He also has started scooting around more and more. He is mostly stuck in reverse but he getting pretty quick. We love this little guy so much!

September

September was such a great month. Max is getting to have more and more personality all the time and it's so much fun! Here are a few pictures of what we've been up to this month.

These are some pre-church pictures. Aren't Jeff and Max so cute just looking at each other? Max loves Jeff and is so interested in whatever his dad is doing.
Mid-September we were lucky enough to go to Breckenridge with some our great friends! It was so much fun! The weather was just starting to get chilly. There was some rain, but overall just perfect. It's so fun to go on mini-vacations with friends. Colorado is such a beautiful place!

This is a cute little jacket I made for Max a few months ago, and now that the weather is starting to change he gets to wear it. Its pretty cute on him, though I don't know if I would do it again. This project involved lots of phone calls to mom, I may just stick to quilting for now:)

September was great, and hopefully we can dodge snowfall for a few more months!

6 Months

This handsome little guy is growing up so fast. He just gets cuter and cuter. I love that now he can sit up by himself. Occasionally he tips right over when the chub gets off balance but he usually does pretty good.

He has finally started to roll over! I was so excited for this milestone. So far he goes front to back but not back to front. Which is getting pretty frustrating for him, hopefully he will figure out the other way soon.

One of the funniest things that Max does is this fake cough. He started doing it a few months ago. It was somewhat of a warning for us that he was about to get really upset, but now he just does it whenever he wants our attention. I think it is pretty hilarious.

Max definitely has a favorite toy. This giraffe is by far his toy of choice, he mostly enjoys the feet and has figured out how to get 3 in his mouth at once, maybe by next month he'll get all 4:) When he doesn't have the giraffe in tow, he loves his jumper. He has just figured out how to really get jumping and now he never stops. It is so fun to watch him and it keeps him very entertained! He also really loves playing with his dad. Jeff can always get him giggling!

Max gets a lot of attention for his chubby thighs. I absolutely love them. They are so squishy and squeezable. I just had to get a good picture of them before he starts moving too much and they start to thin out.

These feet are also pretty classic. It was hard to get a good picture of them since he never holds still-but this does them justice pretty good.

As for the boys stats I'll keep you posted, he has his appointment in a few days. My guess is that he weighs about 18lbs. . .even though it feels like much, much more after carrying him around.

We love him so much and its so fun to see him grow!

August Awesomeness

August was such a busy and fun month! Me and Max made a trip to Idaho. We went for the Annual Beesley Girls Weekend. It was so fun, but we missed Melanie (next year attendance will be mandatory:)! It was filled with lots of sewing, eating, and shopping. All of my favorites!

From left to right we have: Becky, Sarah, Jessica, me and my Mom

It was also my Grandma Gerry's 80th birthday and my cousin Megan's baby shower. We were so happy we got to be there and fit so much fun into so few days. It's always fun to get these 3 babies together. Max is really catching up to these guys fast, he looks like such a chunk in this picture.

Max, Luke, and Ashlyn

Hopefully that was the last time I'll have to fly alone with the little guy. He has flown a lot in his short life, and was getting pretty good at it. But I was much to over confident in our skills and lets just say the flight home was not fun for anyone, United may ask us not to come back. Oh well, we survived and it was totally worth it!

On Labor Day I ran my first race since baby Max was born. It was a 10k at Boulder Reservoir. I was a little nervous about how I would really do since most of our training was on the treadmill, but I did it! It felt good to be somewhat back to my old self and I finished in 1:01-not amazing but I was pretty proud of myself for finishing!

Angela, me, and Amber

Summer is coming to a close, and I will so miss it! I love everything about it. Colorado summers really are the best. I can't say it enough, we have the best friends here! I think Denver will always be my favorite place to live!

5 Months

Max is 5 months old!! This month has flown by. Summer is always crazy and July did not disappoint. We have had so much going on, but this little guy just keeps growing and growing. I love his chubby thighs, they seem to get bigger and squishier. He's definitely getting heavier but this month he seems to have gotten so much longer too!

He is such a grinner. He loves people!! When we flew home yesterday he was really letting his personality show to the lady next to us. He would fuss until she would look at him and then he would give her a huge grin. He is turning into such a flirt!

Max is all about bath time. He absolutely loves it. If anytime he is really upset and inconsolable I just stick him in the tube and he's a completely different baby. He really likes the water, and is even getting used to the cold lake water. He's such a good sport!

This month we started solids, just rice cereal so far. And I have only been feeding him it once a day, we are starting out pretty slow. The first time he was really not too crazy about it(see the pic!) but he is really starting to chow down on it. I can't say he really loves it but he definitely eats it. He is such a good eater, obviously, look at those legs!! We love him so much!

4 Months

This guys is 4 months old! I can hardly believe it. He's usually a pretty smiley guy but after 25 hours+ of car time it was a little hard to get a grin out of him.
So his 4 month stats are:
Weight: 15lbs 9oz
Height: 25 1/2 inches
He's getting to be a pretty big kid, the car seat gets heavier and heavier. I'm just glad we moved from the 3rd floor! This month he continues to be very chatty-he loves to sit and babble with whoever will listen. He is such a good baby and is pretty much happy unless he needs something, then you better figure it out quick! He still likes to wake-up to see me a few times during the night. . .I'm hoping he'll grow out of this sometime soon:) He has started to show more interest in toys and has started to grab and hold things. He did roll over once while we were at the cabin, but I'm pretty sure it was an accident because he doesn't seem interested in doing it again. We love him so much and every month he gets more and more fun!

Idaho Vacation Fun!

We love go on vacation to Idaho! Mostly because we get to be with family. . .and our families are so much fun! We first started with a trip to Mesa Falls with the Bryson's. Look at all these Bryson cousins!

Then we had Max's blessing and an after party BBQ at the Bryson's. Here's a pic of the babies. Left to right...Kelcie and Ashlyn(8 months), Lisa and Max(4 months), Jessica and Luke(6 months). These babies are so cute and so much fun! The funny thing is they are all about the same size!

All the Bryson siblings, can you see the family resemblance? We feel so lucky that so many of them made it! Left to right. . .McRay, Heather, Amy, Jeff, and Tom.

Then we went over to hang out with some of the Beesley cousins. They were having the annual Cousins Bash. Unfortunately you have to be atleast potty trained to attend. . .Max still has a few years until he can spend the night. But it was so fun to stop by!
Then we headed to the cabin in Island Park. The first day my mom came up to be our 'flagger.' Max really hated the life jacket. Lucky for him a crazy storm combined with nap-time ended up in us not spending much time on the boat the first day.

The next day some of Jeff's H.S. friends came up with their families. It was good to catch up and see how much everyones families are growing. We love to be at the cabin, nothing is better then the lake and Jeff's amazing smores! Now back to real life and Jeff's first day of work!!!

Max Doyle Bryson

Max Doyle Bryson received a name and a blessing July 3rd. We decided to wait and do it in Idaho so we could have family to be with us on Max's special day. We were so happy that so many of our loved ones could be there. Four of Jeff's siblings and their families came and all of my siblings were there. Both sets of Max's grandparents were there along with his two of his great grandmothers and his great grandfather which he is named after. Max is one very loved little boy. Jeff gave such a beautiful blessing. This was one of my favorite days as a mother so far. I hope to always remember the feelings that were felt that day. It was such a special day. Thanks to everyone that made such an effort to be there!

Big changes coming our way. . .

Today is Jeff's first day of work as an official Pediatric Dentist. It is quite the end of an era for us Bryson's. Jeff has been in college/residency for 10 years! We have been in school all our our dating/married life, so this will be a major change for us. But a very, very good change. Jeff has worked so hard and logged countless hours to complete his education. We are so proud of him and the sacrifices he has made. We all know he would have rather been snowboarding the last 10 years everyday instead of school, but he did it!!! Now onto real life, more big decisions, but all good choices! Congrats Jeff!

Love this guy. . .

Even though he woke me up every 2 hours last night I still can't get enough of him. Don't you just want to kiss those cheeks!

Swimming Round 2

Over the weekend we went with some friends to a local rec center to take the babies swimming. Max did so good. I think he really liked it this time. The water was much warmer and it was an indoor pool which helped too. It was so funny, he's so chubby that his little body floated right up to the surface. We just had to support his little head and he was doing the back float. We had so much fun and I think we'll be returning again soon. We gotta get this little man loving the water at a young age!

Aren't those just the cutest babies you've ever seen! We hope they grow up to be best buds.
